Frontline’s Church Ambassador Network (CAN) is a gospel-centered ministry that brings pastors into transformational relationships with Georgia’s elected and appointed officials—through prayer, biblical teaching, and Kingdom-minded partnerships.

Inspire the Church to engage government for the advance of God’s Kingdom.

Our Vision

Governing authorities see who they are called to be in Christ and see the Church as a primary resource for community needs.

Government is one of the three institutions God created to order and bless human civilization. Like the other two institutions—church and family—when government fulfills its God-given design, it is a blessing for our good and for His glory.

While each of God’s institutions has a unique and separate role, they are designed to complement—not ignore—one another. The church is uniquely equipped to provide solutions to personal and community problems that the government cannot adequately solve alone. That partnership begins with bringing shepherds of the church into relationship with the shepherds of government.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” — Romans 13:1

HOW IT WORKS

Shepherd-to-shepherD connection

The Church Ambassador Network exists to connect the shepherds of the church with the shepherds of government. Pastors are uniquely equipped to point our government leaders to Christ, fill the Capitol with the Lord’s teaching, and partner with government leaders to solve the problems facing our communities.

Shepherd-to-shepherd relationships are built upon common ground:

AS PEOPLE

Both are ordinary individuals, made in God’s image, placed in an extraordinary position.

AS SHEPHERDS

Both lead an institution of God’s and must look to the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ, for success and reward.

AS PARTNERS

Both are uniquely equipped to meet community needs in different ways, but in similar areas of interest.

Speaking of those who govern, Paul writes:
“For he is God’s servant for your good.” — Romans 13:4

FOUR LEVELS OF TRANSFORMATION

Gospel Transformation at Every Level

The Church Ambassador Network connects pastors to government for gospel transformation at four levels:

LOCAL

Bringing together church and government leaders from the same region, where both kinds of shepherds share care for particular communities.

RELATIONAL

Welcoming pastors to the Capitol to build personal relationships with government officials and minister God’s Word to the officials’ specific shepherding role.

THEOLOGICAL

Providing teaching and resources that make the gospel and God’s Word relevant to government-related issues.

PRACTICAL

Developing partnerships between church and state to solve key issues facing our communities — like education, addiction, and foster care— while lifting up the name of Christ.

OUR CORE VALUES

Rooted in the Gospel. Driven by Grace.

Christ-Centered

Jesus is the sole means of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration through His work on the Cross and resurrection. We believe transformation happens as people see Christ accurately and rightly value Him. That is why Christ must be at the center of everything that we do. It is God’s Word that gives us the most clear and concrete picture of Jesus. Because of that, we aim to lift up God’s Word in everything we do.

Grace-Driven

God’s grace through Jesus Christ changes everything and is the basis and power of our personal lives and ministry. In a place where political battles make grace all the rarer, we aim to be motivated by grace and to joyfully give grace away to one another.

Supra-Partisan

Christ does not fit into any political ideology. His Kingdom is an eternal kingdom not of this world. As His ambassadors, it is important that we keep that independent voice. We are not bipartisan, partisan, or non-partisan. We are supra-partisan—we swear allegiance only to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Relationally-Built

We move at the speed of relationship through the Holy Spirit’s leading. It is the heart of the Church Ambassador Network to move beyond the surface level and to engage in deeper Christ-centered relationships that lead to changed lives.

Partnership-Minded

Christ created the Church as a diverse body, and He designed both the institution of God’s Church and government. It is the heart of the Church Ambassador Network to build partnerships between the Church and government to serve people and bring Christ glory.

Prayer-Focused

Our mission is dependent on prayer, knowing God moves through and changes lives through prayer. We pray collectively as the Church that God would move in the heart of “kings,” bring revival to His Church, and re-ignite its flame for the gospel and the Great Commission.

AT THE CAPITOL

A Mission Trip to the Gold Dome

Every week during Georgia’s legislative session, pastors from across the state make the trip to the Capitol — not to lobby, not to protest, but to minister. We call it a Capitol Ministry Day.

The day begins with prayer and orientation. Then pastors are grouped with legislators and walk into offices ready to listen, encourage, and pray. These aren’t scripted meetings. They’re real conversations between shepherds who share care for the same community — one from the pulpit, one from the Capitol.

What happens in those rooms surprises nearly every pastor who participates. Legislators open up. They share burdens they carry — about their families, the weight of their decisions, the loneliness of leadership. And then something shifts. A pastor prays over them. Scripture is spoken into their specific role. A relationship is born that doesn’t end when session does.

This is what it looks like when the Church shows up — not with an agenda, but with the gospel.

Georgia’s Church Ambassador Network is part of The Daniel Impact—a national initiative that equips states across America with the CAN framework. Pioneered in Iowa in 2015, this model has proven effective in inspiring the Church to engage government biblically, impacting elections by equipping pastors to shepherd their congregations, influencing policy by amplifying the timeless voice of the Church as a moral compass, and igniting partnerships between churches and government to address community needs.

This investment is more than a short-term initiative; it is laying the groundwork for a permanent and expanding presence of the Church in government—not just today or in the next election, but for generations to come.
